I have written this prayer to send out Mother Assata on a safe journey. I found her book when I was 19 and it was a prayer answered. May she travel safely.

To the Mother who freed us
Liberated herself
To liberate us
We bring offerings to commence your rest
To breathe abundance into your eternal travel
You existed and exist again through us
You drafted our emancipation into our imaginations
Crafted us a chance to breathe fresh air
To see the stars in our souls
And constellations on our tongues
We became universes
You
Are
Light
Breath
Freedom
Light

And so we honor your name
And speak it loud
Loud enough to shake the walls
Assata
Loud enough to break those chains
Assata!
Loud enough to step on the devil’s neck
Assata!
Mother Goddess we send Her to you whole
For She is testament and testimony to an answered prayer
She has breathed upon her spiritual children
We bow in gratitude
We say our thanks
For giving us
The ability to release
The ability to dream
The ability to demand
We speak your name
